AWS Like an RPG: Choosing Equipment and Planning an Expedition in the Cloud

An epic adventure requires proper preparation—whether in a fantasy RPG world or in real-world cloud-based projects on AWS. To succeed, you must assemble a team, plan your journey, and choose the right equipment—because just as one sword won't defeat every enemy, a single set of AWS services won't fit all projects.

In this talk, we will embark on a journey that compares building projects in AWS to a classic RPG game. We'll explore the principles of the Well-Architected Framework, which, like a team guide, helps make the right architectural decisions. We'll discuss how to select AWS services that match the specific challenges of a project and how to prepare for unexpected obstacles along the way.

System Architect who has been involved in the IT industry for 13 years.

Has extensive experience in the field of telecommunications networks and DevOps. Currently specializing in the public cloud AWS and Kubernetes areas.

AWS Community Builder in serverless area, Leader of the AWS User Group 3City, certified AWS DevOps Professional and Security Specialty.

Can boast of interesting accomplishments for public services, such as the National Defense, police, emergency medical and fire brigade. As a CTO, he also worked on creating a secure data center for the Navy training base.

A collector of board games and a fan of fantasy and RPG games. He can also be met at conventions as part of the Game Masters On Duty.
