Principal Consultant, FujitsuArchitecting and implementing serverless scientific applications in Lambda and Fargate
In this session we will focus on how Fujitsu solved the architectural and implementation challenges involved in creating QIMERA, a SaaS offering powered by AWS infrastructure. We will discuss how:
- we approached and solved migrating from a set of individual desktop products to an integrated workflow
- creating a maintainable pattern for API gateway
- the limits of “stateless” and how to plan for future features
- orchestrating the interactions between proxy and non-proxy Lambdas, EC2 and Fargate containers
Bio
Dan is a Principal Consultant and Engagement Lead at Fujitsu UK.
He has over 20 years of experience in software development, infrastructure and architecture at firms ranging from startups to international consultancies and banks.
Over the last 14 months he has been Chief Architect for Fujitsu’s QIMERA offering, collaborating with leading scientists, mathematicians and developers to bring their vision for a new approach to early stage drug discovery to life.
